Take your half day for Hue city tour to learn about Vietnam History especially about the Nguyen’s Dynasty is highly recommended by Danang Private Taxi. This short trip brings you to the “must-see” sites in Hue: the Forbidden Citadel, home to the Nguyen Emperors of Vietnam from 1802 to 1945 and the Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the best know Buddhist sites in the city.
We start with a visit the Imperial Citadel, where 13 emperors of Nguyen Dynasty used to work and live. After access the Ngo Mon Gate, we will take in the Purple Forbidden City. The Forbidden City was reserved for the Nguyen royal family from the 18th century until the mid-1900s. Unfortunately, American bombing in 1968 in response to a communist takeover of Hue flattened most of the city. As we can see, only a few buildings are survived such as the Thai Hoa Palace, Can Thanh Palace, The Mieu, and Hieu Lam Cac, but all the remains make a well worth visit. Leave the Imperial Citadel we drive along the bank of Perfume River to Thien Mu Pagoda. Here we visit the 7-storey octagonal tower, a symbol of Hue. Afterwards, transfer back to your hotel. End trip.
